Replaces the generic, 4-piece diffuser assembly used in the stock configuration.  (New and improved over the original 9-stage design by adding an additional conical air stripper stage and enlarged venting to the outer shroud.)
Now also available in .30 caliber for the BT65 Carnivore (please allow an additional day to ship as these are built to order.)
Some background on why this was developed.
If you look at the parts diagram for your air  rifle on Hatsan's site.  You will see these diffuser components at the  muzzle end of your shroud.
What you will notice from the parts diagram, is  that these parts don't differ with gun caliber, they're totally generic.
Issue #1: One Size Fits All.
This is great for simplifying manufacturing, and keeping costs down, but not so  much for optimal effectiveness.
Here's what the stock components look like from  top-down:
If you're looking at this and thinking, "Wow,  those are some big holes the pellet travels through!". You're absolutely right.
Issue #2: Large Apertures Don't Effectively Strip Much Air.
Here's how large those apertures actually are:
And here's what they look like with a .22  caliber pellet passing through the center:
Yes, that's a lot of open airspace around the  pellet (which is airflow that is not being effectively stripped and going  straight out the muzzle.)
Okay, so how did we address these issues with the  custom baffle design:
Issue #1: One Size Fits All
    - Each baffle  is custom made to tightly fit the specific caliber. This is why you need to  specify caliber when ordering.  They are not interchangeable.
Issue #2: Large Apertures Don't Effectively  Strip Much Air
    - The aperture on the baffle cones are designed to hug the pellet as it passes  through, with sub-millimeter clearances, ensuring the maximum amount of air gets  stripped as the pellet passes.
Another issue also addressed, is that the stock  diffuser components use hard vertical surfaces.  This can cause turbulence  as the air following the pellet slams into end of the cylinder.
This is remedied by using a series of conical  baffles that strip the air in a gradual slope rather than a hard vertical wall.   Each baffle stage is vented to the outside of the stack so that air is channeled  back to the outer barrel shroud.  (This was an early test prototype, but  illustrates what's in the one-piece unit you'll be receiving.)
