BARREL BAND for LONGER BARREL Crosman 1377, 1322, 1300KT, PC77 - UPGRADED SCREW

Description

IMPORTANT : This issue exists for ALL barrel bands, custom or factory, manufactured for Crosman variable-pump pistols and carbines. Due to Crosman's manufacturing variances, some tubes have the pivot-pin holes further back from the front than others. Some are back far enough that the pivot pin hole in the tube will not quite line up with the holes in the band. This causes the pin bind while trying to install it. The easiest fix for this is to file the front of the tube back slightly until the holes align. It's very easy to do, only a few file strokes are needed in most cases. Be very careful to keep filings out of the tube where they can cause damage to the seals.
This band allows mounting of longer barrels on 1377, 1322, 1300KT and PC77 models. It's also a much more stable upgrade for the 2289G Backpacker. It's the Crosman Custom Shop 1300KT version with an upgraded socket cap screw. It was drilled and tapped to fit the screw which is long enough to engage the full-thickness of the threaded left side. This is a lot more durable than the original Phillips screw which tends to strip the threads in the band if over-tightened or repeatedly installed. It's made of very stiff, durable polymer that is much harder, stronger and more stable than the older Backpacker version.
The cap screw fits a 9/64 hex wrench or bit which is not included.
