VINTAGE 1950’s SHELL OIL ROAD MAP COLLECTION IN BOUND HARDCOVER BOOK

Description

For the oil company road map collector, offered is a very unique Shell Oil Company set of approximately 100 road maps from across the United States from the 1950’s.
It is a compilation of road maps by sections of the country, states and cities.
Most of the maps are
in excellent condition, but some have crinkles along the edge and there may be a few with written notations.
It was produced by the Shell Oil Company as a bound collection of maps to be used in corporate offices and by district and field offices throughout the country.
The hard cover has the Shell pectin logo from the 1950’s and fastens with two firm snaps to keep it closed.
The maps are held in the binder/book by set screws so if one desires, maps can be taken out or additional ones can be added.
For its approximate 60 to 70 years of age, it is in very good condition, but does have a few wear marks on the edges.
It measures 14” x 18 1/2” and is 2” thick.
